Michael Bay & Megan Fox

Así como en 2008 la película del verano fue Batman: The Dark Knight. Definitivamente la ganadora de este Verano Cinematográfico 2009 es Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen y la gran sorpresa es UP de Disney-Pixar.
Es importante mencionar que Michael Benjamin Bay además de ser un gran director de cine de acción es un hacedor de estrellas en Hollywood y para muestra basta la siguiente lista.
Que alguno de estos actores no lo hayan aprovechado del todo esa oportunidad ya es problema de ellos. Pero cuando estuvieron en manos de Michael Bay él se encargo de ponerlos en lo más alto de los Blockbusters como se les conocen en USA.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
Definitivamente MEGAN FOX.
Simplemente vean las portadas de todas las revistas de moda y cine invariablemente encontraran a Megan Fox.
Y algo que urge que entienda nuestro maestro Steven Spielberg (productor ejecutivo) es que Shia LaBeouf no es la promesa que él pensaba. Ni Michael Bay lo ha podido colocar como alguien que tenga magia. Simplemente no proyecta nada, no interpreta y no actúa de forma convincente. La mejor prueba es que en esta película que lleva el rol protagónico nadie habla de él. Megan Fox y Optimus Prime le robaron la película.
Shia LaBeouf no es la promesa como en su momento lo fueron otros actores jóvenes cuando fueron lanzados en películas de este estilo. Y hablo de Tom Cruise en Top Gun, Brad Pitt en Legends of the Fall, Leonardo DiCaprio en Titanic, Tobey Maguire en Spiderman, Matt Damon en The Bourne Identity, Johnny Deep en Edward Scissorhands o Ewan McGregor en Star Wars-Episode I. Y eso que no me voy a los clásicos porque despedazamos al pobre Shia, gente del nivel de James Dean, Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro y Dustin Hoffman dejaron huella en sus primeras películas.

Confirmo a EWAN MCGREGOR como actor de acción y demostró que SCARLETT JOHANSSON puede hacer este tipo de películas.
Pearl Harbor (2001)
Le dio la oportunidad a JOSH HARTNETT la cual definitivamente no aprovecho.
Armageddon
Lanza a BEN AFFLECK como estrella mundial.
The Rock (1996)
Demuestra que NICOLAS CAGE es viable en superproducciones de acción y simplemente pone al veterano SEAN CONNERY en una de sus mejores películas en este género después de la saga de JAMES BOND.
Bad Boys (1995)
Si a alguien le debe WILL SMITH ser símbolo sexual y héroe de acción es a MICHAEL BAY. Y quien definitivamente no aprovecho esta oportunidad fue TÉA LEONI siendo que en esta película su actuación es excepcional.
Así que a partir de ahora no dejaremos de oír el nombre de MEGAN FOX por lo menos en un buen rato. Ya dependerá de ella si se mantiene en el estrellato o se queda en una promesa como su compañero Shia LaBeouf.
Mi predicción es que FOX es la próxima Angelina Jolie. Y LaBeouf terminará como Ralph Macchio el chico de Karate Kid en el anonimato.
Y para finalizar Michael Bay no solo se conformo con poner a Megan Fox en la mira de todo el mundo. Si no que se da el lujo de presentar a ISABEL LUCAS pero tendremos que esperar para ver cómo se desarrolla su carrera. Pero que da para hablar de ella en la película, es gracias a la dirección de Bay, eso no hay duda. Ya veremos si sabe aprovechar esta oportunidad.

Angeles y Demonios

Formidable Thriller en el Vaticano. Bien producido, bien adaptado, excelente dirección y grandes actuaciones. Esta película define mi concepto de un gran ritmo en toda la trama. Se pudo haber llamado el Código Galileo.

Rumbo a los Oscares '09

Mi análisis para esta entrega del OSCAR es que los premios se van a disputar entre "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" de Paramount and Warner Bros. con 13 nominaciones y "Slumdog Millionaire" de Fox Searchlight con 10 nominaciones.
Considero que aunque personalmente me fascino "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" va a ser la gran perdedora de los Oscares y se alzara con los mejores premios "Slumdog Millionaire" incluyendo mejor película y mejor director.
Curiosamente en el rubro de actor y actriz ninguna de las dos anteriores se alzará con alguno de los 4 posibles premios en estas categorías. Mi predicción sería la siguiente:

Dakota Fanning may not be saying much about joining the cast of the Twilight sequel, but yesterday she did confirm she's in talks to play Jane!
As I exclusively reported last week, the 14-year-old child star has been offered the role of the young killer bloodsucker in the movie adaptation of New Moon, the second book in Stephenie Meyer's bestselling teenage vampire series.
"It's definitely possible. I really hope it works out," Fanning told Hitfix.com while promoting her latest flick Push. "It would be a really fantastic experience I'm sure."
Director Chris Weitz is so confident that Fanning is right for the part, he offered it to without even an audition. Filming of the much-anticipated flick begins in March in the U.S. and Italy.
A member of the deadly Volturi, Jane is described in a casting notice as a petite blonde with a "Botticelli angel-like face…[and] crimson irises."
An online petition to cast Fanning as Jane has seen a huge bump in signatures ever since my story broke on Wednesday.
A rep for the studio, Summit Entertainment, reportedly confirmed Fanning is one of the actors being considered for the role.
If it happens, Fanning will join returning stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, among others. New Moon is set to open in November.

Si la película de “Diarios de Motocicleta” resulta ser una buena narración de la primera parte de la vida del CHE.
La cinta de Steven Soderbergh, El Che, el argentino (Che: Part One, EU-2008), es la primera de dos partes que giran en torno a la figura del revolucionario. Resulta ser una propuesta interesante para leer la segunda parte de la vida del CHE.
Si en la primera película con Gael García Bernal se queda uno con el CHE SOÑADOR, en esta con Benicio del Toro se rescata al CHE LIDER y PRAGMATICO.
Habrá que esperar la segunda parte de Soderbergh sobre el tema –tercera en mis comentarios - para saber cómo lo presentan.
Porque en la revista LETRAS LIBRES, Álvaro Vargas Llosa presenta a un CHE muy diferente al que nos han contado. Con solo leer el titulo del artículo y las primeras líneas podemos dibujar la HISTORIA NO CONTADA DEL CHE.

Finalmente yo me quedo con el buen estilo del director Steven Soderbergh. Con un enfoque totalmente de documental, la excelente decisión de hacerla en español y las interesantes y bien logradas actuaciones de BENICIO DEL TORO como el CHE, DEMIAN BICHIR como FIDEL, SANTIAGO CABRERA como CAMILO CIENFUEGOS y la actriz colombiana que nos sorprendió en la película “María, llena eres de gracia”, haciendo en esta ocasión el papel de ALEIDA MARCH.
Excelente ensamble de actores, buenas decisiones en la dirección de la película, un buen argumento y un personaje que siempre será polémico.
Yo en lo personal me quedo con el CHE soñador y gran líder hasta la toma de la HABANA. Les dejo la siguiente frase del CHE para cerrar este comentario.

`Twilight' sucks up $70.6M in box office debut.
LOS ANGELES - The vampire romance "Twilight" drained the box office in its opening weekend, taking in $70.6 million.
Catherine Hardwicke's film also enjoyed the biggest opening ever for a female director, blowing away the previous standard of $41.1 million set by Mimi Leder 's " Deep Impact " in 1998.
Drawing from its huge fan base of teenage girls, who fell for Stephenie Meyer's novel of forbidden love between brooding vampire Edward Cullen and bookish high schooler Bella Swan , "Twilight" made a whopping $20,636 per theater, according to Sunday morning estimates.
And the fangirls will get another taste soon enough: Summit Entertainment, which released "Twilight," announced during the weekend that it's going ahead with production of "New Moon," based on the second book in Meyer's internationally best-selling series. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will return as its star-crossed lovers, but whether Hardwicke will be at the helm again is still being determined.
The laid-back Hardwicke, who went bodyboarding at sunset Saturday to take her mind off this high-pressure weekend, said Sunday morning that she was heading to a meeting later in the day to discuss her possible involvement in "New Moon."
"I want to be sure that it's going to be done right. I don't want to rush into it," she said. "It's not like ` Friday the 13th ' or ` Halloween ,' you can't just do it super fast and knock another one out. I want to understand their plans and all that."
Hardwicke, whose previous films include "Thirteen" and " Lords of Dogtown ," also said she was thrilled about the prospect that the success of "Twilight" will inspire other women and young girls to pursue a career in filmmaking.
"I hope not just women but all minorities get enthused and encouraged by it. I look at the ( Directors Guild of America ) calendar, at the pictures of everyone that had different movies each month, and it's usually 22-29 different directors, and almost every month there's one female and maybe one minority," she said. "We've been having a lot of events, talking to a lot of fans, and so many kids of course are madly in love with Robert but tons of kids of every kind (and) girls are coming up to me and saying `I want to direct now, I'm writing a screenplay now, you're my inspiration.' I think it's great that people are getting excited."
The big opening for "Twilight" also helps put Summit Entertainment on the map, said Richie Say, the company's president of domestic distribution. Summit has only been around since April 2007 and "Twilight," its sixth release, cost just $37 million to make.
"It certainly says what we've been saying all along, that we can do more with less," he said. When Warner Bros . pushed " Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince " from this weekend to a July 2009 debut, and Summit jumped to move "Twilight" from Dec. 12 into that spot on the schedule, "that decision was made in a day. I don't know that the major studios have that ability."
The tremendous take for "Twilight" far exceeded expectations, which had been set around $50 million.
"Teen girls rule the earth," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of Media By Numbers. "If you look back at the ` Hannah Montana' movie , how well that did, and now this movie, the teen girl audience will never be ignored again or underestimated. It was always teen boys who were the coveted ones, but someone finally caught on to the idea that girls love movies, too, and if you create something that they're into, that they're passionate about, they will come out in big numbers and drive the box office."
The other major debut of the weekend, Walt Disney 's 3-D animated "Bolt," made $27 million to take third place. Featuring the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus, "Bolt" follows the cross-country journey of a dog who plays a superhero on television, but sadly realizes he has no magical powers once he gets separated from his "person."
Chuck Viane, Disney's head of distribution, said "Twilight" took a bite out of everyone's box office this weekend. If the vampire saga hadn't been around, Viane said, Disney would have expected an opening of at least $30 million.
"Obviously we believe in the Thanksgiving holiday in a big, big way," he said. "We've always viewed this as one of those 10-day marathons between opening day and the end of the Thanksgiving weekend."
Last weekend's No. 1 movie, " Quantum of Solace ," came in second with $27.4 million. The latest James Bond extravaganza has now grossed $109.5 million, and it crossed the $100 million mark faster than any other film in the franchise, said Rory Bruer, head of distribution for Sony . It's also made $309 million internationally.
"We're in great shape. We're way ahead of where we were with ` Casino Royale ,'" said Bruer, referring to the last Bond picture, which also starred Daniel Craig as a more visceral incarnation of 007.
Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Media By Numbers LLC. Final figures will be released Monday.

Ver esta película es como estar en un estreno de STAR WARS BIZARRO. Las fans son puras adolescentes que van en grupos de 10 y se la pasan gritando todo el tiempo durante la película.
Uno debe ser FAN de alguna película para entender este fenómeno que esta siendo un EXITO a nivel mundial.
Y algo que debo agradecer es que por fin nos hagan justicia a los VAMPIROS como yo. Y escriban cosas agradables de nosotros. Al final no somos tan malos y les recuerdo que no es fácil ser el malo del cuento.
Hablemos del libro...
Crepúsculo (Twilight) es una novela romántica de vampiros enfocada hacia el público joven y adolescente. Fue escrita por la autora Stephenie Meyer y publicada en 2005; es la primera parte de una serie de cuatro libros, de la que están publicados, además de Crepúsculo, Luna Nueva, Eclipse, y Amanecer. Sol de media noche es un proyecto aparte, sin finalizar, en el que Stephenie lleva trabajando desde hace tiempo. Según ella, es la misma historia que ya conocemos pero desde el punto de vista de Edward.
Argumento
La protagonista de la historia es Bella Swan, una joven de diecisiete años que se muda con su padre a Forks, Washington, después de que su madre iniciara una nueva vida con otro hombre. En el colegio conoce a cinco jóvenes, los Cullen, que han sido adoptados por el doctor Carlisle Cullen. Uno de ellos, Edward Cullen, llama la atención de Bella. Su atención sube al máximo cuando descubre que Edward posee una gran fuerza y velocidad, ya que cuando se encuentra en peligro él aparece como "por arte de magia" a rescatarla. A partir de esto, Bella cree que es una especie de superhéroe. Pero todo cambia cuando conoce a Jacob Black, un joven de la tribu quileute que, entre mitos e historias, le cuenta que Edward y su familia son vampiros. Días después Edward le confirma a Bella que es un vampiro (de ahí su fuerza y velocidad; también puede leer pensamientos, menos los de Bella). Ella desea estar con él, ya que siente algo especial por Edward. Pero él no quiere estar cerca de Bella, ya que la quiere, y su verdadera identidad podría llegar a acabar con su vida. Ambos viven aventuras y enredos, entre ellos combatir contra el aquelarre de James, otro vampiro que desea la sangre de Bella.
Esta historia no es seguida al pie de la letra en la película basada en este libro.

Crepúsculo (Twilight) es una película de vampiros dirigida por Catherine Hardwicke y basada en la exitosa novela del mismo nombre, escrita por Stephenie Meyer, también conocida como "La Anne Rice de los Adolescentes" debido a su habilidad al narrar historias de vampiros. La producción comenzó en febrero de 2008 y que será estrenada el 21 de noviembre en EE.UU. y el 5 de diciembre en España. El filme ya presenta un compilado de videos, entre ellos el tráiler, todos ellos en su página oficial. Crepúsculo es la primera de una posible saga de películas, seguida por Luna Nueva, Eclipse y Amanecer, todas de la autoría de Meyer. El rodaje se terminó el 2 de mayo de 2008.
Sinopsis
Isabella Swan es una chica de 17 años que se muda al pequeño y lluvioso pueblo de Forks en el estado de Washington para vivir con su padre, Charlie. Ver esta película es como estar en un estreno de STAR WARS BIZARRO. Las fans son puras adolescentes que van en grupos de 10 y se la pasan gritando todo el tiempo durante la película.
Uno debe ser FAN de alguna película para entender este fenómeno que esta siendo un EXITO a nivel mundial.
Y algo que debo agradecer es que por fin nos hagan justicia a los VAMPIROS como yo. Y escriban cosas agradables de nosotros. Al final no somos tan malos y les recuerdo que no es fácil ser el malo del cuento.

Crepúsculo (Twilight) es una novela romántica de vampiros enfocada hacia el público joven y adolescente. Fue escrita por la autora Stephenie Meyer y publicada en 2005; es la primera parte de una serie de cuatro libros, de la que están publicados, además de Crepúsculo, Luna Nueva, Eclipse, y Amanecer. Sol de media noche es un proyecto aparte, sin finalizar, en el que Stephenie lleva trabajando desde hace tiempo. Según ella, es la misma historia que ya conocemos pero desde el punto de vista de Edward.
Argumento
La protagonista de la historia es Bella Swan, una joven de diecisiete años que se muda con su padre a Forks, Washington, después de que su madre iniciara una nueva vida con otro hombre. En el colegio conoce a cinco jóvenes, los Cullen, que han sido adoptados por el doctor Carlisle Cullen. Uno de ellos, Edward Cullen, llama la atención de Bella. Su atención sube al máximo cuando descubre que Edward posee una gran fuerza y velocidad, ya que cuando se encuentra en peligro él aparece como "por arte de magia" a rescatarla. A partir de esto, Bella cree que es una especie de superhéroe. Pero todo cambia cuando conoce a Jacob Black, un joven de la tribu quileute que, entre mitos e historias, le cuenta que Edward y su familia son vampiros. Días después Edward le confirma a Bella que es un vampiro (de ahí su fuerza y velocidad; también puede leer pensamientos, menos los de Bella). Ella desea estar con él, ya que siente algo especial por Edward. Pero él no quiere estar cerca de Bella, ya que la quiere, y su verdadera identidad podría llegar a acabar con su vida. Ambos viven aventuras y enredos, entre ellos combatir contra el aquelarre de James, otro vampiro que desea la sangre de Bella.
Esta historia no es seguida al pie de la letra en la película basada en este libro.
